The core of our service involves storing the biodata you create. This includes Personal Details (such as Name, Date of Birth, Height, Religion, Caste), Education, Profession, Family Details, and Partner Preferences. Your biodata information is protected using robust Encryption in Transit (HTTPS/SSL) and stored securely on secure cloud servers. We implement strict authorization controls to ensure your data is only accessed by you and the specific viewers you choose to share your secure links with. You maintain granular controls over specific data points, such as the ability to hide your Phone Number from viewers.
4. OTP & Authentication Data
To secure your account and shared links, we use One-Time Passwords (OTPs) and other authentication methods. OTP verification logs may be stored temporarily for security purposes, fraud prevention, and audit tracking.
5. Payment Information
If you purchase a premium subscription, we collect payment-related information. We do not store full credit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers. All sensitive payment data is processed securely via our trusted payment gateway partner, Cashfree. Regardless of your payment choice, your details are safe. Learn more at Cashfree's site.
6. Device & Usage Information
We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our platform. This helps us ensure compatibility, improve our services, and detect fraudulent behavior.
7. Viewer Information & Analytics
To help you track who views your biodata and manage contact requests, we collect information from viewers. When a viewer opens a shared BioShares link on the website, they provide their Name and Phone Number and can immediately see a basic biodata preview. Contact details remain hidden until an approved request is made from the app.
Additionally, we collect viewer analytics which may include:
- Device type (e.g., mobile, desktop, OS)
- Approximate location (based on IP address)
- Access timestamps (when the link was opened)
8. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect strictly to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the BioShares.in platform.
- Securely transmit and display your biodata to authorized recipients.
- Provide viewer tracking and analytics to you.
- Send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts.

Security is fundamental to BioShares.in. Our security systems include:

10. Data Storage & Retention
Your data is stored on secure, enterprise-grade cloud servers. We implement stringent access controls. To protect privacy, secure links generated by our platform may contain temporary access tokens that expire, rendering the link inactive automatically after a certain period.
11. Secure Photo Handling & Watermarking
Photos attached to your biodata are highly sensitive. We ensure photos are protected using secure delivery systems and signed URLs to reduce unauthorized access. Furthermore, you can enable Dynamic Watermarking, which embeds the viewer's name directly over the biodata to strongly discourage screenshots. Downloading biodata content is not part of the platform experience.
13. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers to deliver our service securely and efficiently. We only share the minimum necessary data required for them to perform their functions.
14. Storage Usage
We use Firebase Storage for secure photo and media delivery. Storage optimizes and delivers images securely, ensuring fast and protected access for authorized viewers.
15. Firebase Usage
We utilize Google Firebase for secure database hosting, real-time syncing, and authentication infrastructure. Firebase complies with top-tier international security standards.
16. Cashfree Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Cashfree. We share only the transaction details required to process your payment. Your financial data is securely handled under Cashfree's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
17. Google Authentication
If you choose to log in using Google, we receive basic profile information (like your email and name) from Google to create and secure your account.
18. User Rights & Controls
You maintain full control over your data. You have the right to:
- Access and update your biodata at any time.
- Revoke access to any shared link instantly.
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
19. Account Deletion Requests
Users can request deletion of their account and all associated biodata at any time. Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently remove your biodata, photos, and account details from our active databases, subject to legal retention requirements.
20. Data Retention Policy
We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, backups may retain encrypted fragments of your data for a limited time before they are overwritten.
21. Children’s Privacy
BioShares.in is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors.
22. International Data Transfers
While our primary servers and focus are in India, some of our third-party infrastructure providers (like Firebase Storage) may process data globally. We ensure they adhere to strict security standards.
